It’s that time in Melbourne. The days are starting earlier and finishing later. We’re deshedding the North Face puffers that have been like a second skin for months. And the hayfever is setting in - aggressively.
Winter is leaving. Spring is coming.
Spring is special to me. Firstly, I’m a November baby and a huge birthday person - this year is my 30th, so it’s even more special than normal. Secondly, I’m an early riser and really struggle with dark mornings through winter. Getting to walk my dog in the early morning light before I start my get-ready-for-work routine is like meditation for me. Thirdly, warm weather makes my fashion-lover’s heart siiiiing. I love everything about baggy t-shirts with short-shorts, salty beach hair, strappy sandals, floaty midi dresses… all of it.

Finally - warm weather food. I love a good roast or soup during the cold winter months, but there’s nothing like a fresh summer salad with some cold seafood or barbecued goodies.
Sorry to my northern hemisphere friends, but we’re all so happy to welcome spring!
